Loving Kindness Meditation: A Hopeful Act of Being AND Doing
Dear friends, I hope you are finding ways to keep yourself peaceful as you navigate the crazy times in which we are living. This week I want to share one of my favorite types of meditation, a Metta or Loving Kindness Meditation. I call it “A Hopeful Act of Being and Doing” because it is both a way of being in the world and an action that I believe impacts those around us.
I made this recording recently, while practicing for leading a meditation with a dear friend. For the language, I borrowed heavily from a few of my favorite meditation teachers on the Insight Timer app, Moira Hutchinson and Bodhipaksa. They are masters of the Loving Kindness meditation and I follow humbly in their footsteps.
The recording is about 11 minutes long. I hope you can find a few moments to set aside to meditate with this recording, both for yourself and others.
What practices do you use regularly to help you maintain your well-being and share that goodness with others?
With Love and Hope,
Colleen

Awesome thanks Colleen! I contemplate daily every morning and sing a word called Hu, pronounced Hue that helps me to connect to the divine to give and receive love!
